Personal Care Aide

I have provided personalized care as a Personal Care Aide (PCA) for two private families, each with a son diagnosed with Down Syndrome. In this role, I assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meal preparation, mobility support, and recreational engagement, ensuring both safety and comfort. I work closely with each child to encourage independence while tailoring activities to their developmental needs, fostering growth, social interaction, and confidence. This experience has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and communication skills, as well as my ability to provide compassionate, individualized care to children with special needs. Working with these families has been incredibly rewarding, as I get to witness their growth and daily achievements firsthand.
